Celebrating 50th edition

Indoor Brabant will be organized for the 50th time and it will be a festive edition from 9-12 March. Four days the public can enjoy top sport in the Brabanthal, but also enjoy all festivities that are organized as part of the 50th anniversary celebration. Regional and national riders will have their own stage in the Peelhal.

On Thursday evening the programme in the Brabanthal will be all about the jubilee. Equestrian stars from the past and present will be part of the programme as well as a well known singer. The evening will be opened by an indoor eventing class, which was held for the first time last year. A detailed programme of this celebration and other related events will be available soon. Para dressage will be the central theme in the Peelhal with clinics and the Para Dressage Trophy including the presentation of the DVB Foundation Award.

Friday’s programme will start with the FEI World Cup Dressage in the Brabanthal. The world’s best dressage riders will perform in the first part, the Grand Prix. The rest of the day the jumping riders will have center stage with the VDL Groep Prize as the main class at 9.15 pm. The Peelhal is offering international dressage classes with a Prix St. Georges and a Grand Prix for U25 and Young Riders. In the evening quadrilles will compete in a Freestyle class.

Dressage fans will enjoy top level competition in the Brabanthal during the FEI World Cup Dressage Grand Prix Freestyle at 2.30 pm. Last year Hans Peter Minderhoud and Glock’s Flirt won the class and they will surely try to repeat the victory this year. The evening starts with the spectaculair Van Schijndel Bouwgroep Indoor Derby. In 2016 Switzerland’s Romain Duguet won this class with a super fast round with Cacharel. The programme is closed with the Audi Prize which was won by Olivier Philippaerts and H&M Legend of Love after a 10-horse jump-off. The Peelhal’s programme is filled with pony competitions, jumping and dressage.

Sunday will offer the highlight of Indoor Brabant, the Rolex Grand Prix with € 375,000 in prizemoney. Last year Germany’s Marcus Ehning was the lucky winner with Cornado NRW and took home € 123,750.
