Werth rules in World Cup

Top favourite Isabell Werth from Germany convincingly won the FEI World CupTM Dressage Freestyle Presented by Roelofsen Horse Trucks with her 12-year-old Emilio 107 this afternoon. The rider was very satisfied with her performance and Emilio gave her a ‘90%’ feeling. Isabell was also very complimentary about the show, “For me it is the best indoor show in the world. Everything is perfectly organised, the public is great and everything looks lovely.”

Edward Gal finished runner-up with Glock’s Zonik N.O.P. and Madeleine Witte-Vrees took third place with Cennin. This earned them a ticket to the Finals in Paris.

Edward Gal was happy with the progress of his stallion. “This was his third start in the World Cup and every time the result is better. This makes me very happy. There are still little things that need improving, but he is a young horse and he keeps surprising me.”

Indoor Brabant is more or less a home match and that makes it extra special for her. “I changed a few things in my warming-up and that worked out well. I’m very happy with the result and I’m looking forward to the Final in Paris.”
