Gemeente ’s-Hertogenbosch Prize for Belgium

Nicola Philippaerts convincingly won
Nicola Philippaerts convincingly won the Friday’s last international jumping class, the Gemeente ’s-Hertogenbosch Prize. In the crowed Brabanthal the son of the well-known Belgian rider Ludo Philippaerts, who represented Belgium at four Olympic Games, set a incredible fast time with the 12-year-old SF gelding H&M Quenzo de la Roque. Nicola started in 10th position and none of the 15 combinations that started after him were able to beat his time.

Second place went to Germany’s Christian Ahlmann, the current world’s number 6, with the 10-year-old Westphalian stallion Reavnir in 61.73 seconds. The popular Frenchman Roger-Yves Bost finished in third place with Record d’Oreal, a SF gelding by Cartier van Heffinck.

Best Dutch combination was Marc Houtzager. He took sixth place with Sterrehof’s Uppity.
