Von Bredow-Werndl dances to victory

The reigning Olympic and European gold-medal-winning partnership of Germany’s Jessica von-Bredow Werndl and her fabulous 15-year-old mare TSF Dalera strutted to a convincing victory in today’s sixth and final qualifying leg of the FEI Dressage World Cup™ 2021/2022 Western European League during The Dutch Masters.

"I was very happy today with my victory but especially with the way Dalera BB performed, I had a super feeling. Next goal is of course the final in Leipzig. We keep on training and build up to the final. After that we'll see because if everything goes well with my pregnancy I won't be able to compete at the World Championships in Herning. I feel fine now but I was sick at the beginning of my pregnancy. Jessica was impressed with The Dutch Masters "I want to thank the organization for the wonderful show they put on in these conditions."

Defending champion and German legend Isabell Werth lined up second with the 12-year-old stallion DSP Quantaz on a score of 84.870. "DSP Quantaz performed very well. The previous competition in Neumünster he was a bit spooky because in the first test there was no audience and in the second test there was. Now he didn't look at all and I am very happy with him. By the way, I wanted to thank the organization for the nice poster we found in our hotel room."

The always-exciting Swede, Patrik Kittel, steered the big-moving 10-year-old mare Forever Young HRH into third (82.500), pinning Great Britain’s Charlotte Fry and Dark Legend (82.325) into fourth place. "I was so happy that we could ride with the public again. The atmosphere was special today, everyone enjoyed it. I am also very proud of the performance of my new mare Forever Young. It is very satisfying to be able to bring new talented horses to the top level every time."
