Lorenzo du Luca at top speed to win in Gemeente 's-Hertogenbosch Prize

Today's show jumping evening kicked off with the Gemeente 's-Hertogenbosch Prize. This 1.45m competition was held against the clock. And battled it out. Italy's Lorenzo du Luca sent his mare Dirka de Blondel over the finish line in the time of 58.25 seconds, taking the win.

"She is always very fast and careful. My plan was to start quietly, and that plan worked out well. She does everything for me in the ring and really fights for it. So I'm very happy with how it went." The 11-year-old Very Berlin de Castel daughter has been in Lorenzo du Luca's stables for two years. "Tomorrow I want to ride her in the Derby," laughed Lorenzo du Luca, knowing he has a good trump card on his hands. "She always tries very hard and I am very happy to ride a horse like her."

Sweden's Angelica Augustsson Zanotelli followed in second place with her horse Dyrka Du Carry (by Siryus de Bavoz). She had the clock stopped at 58.94 seconds. Germany's Daniel Deusser jumped to third place with Bingo Ste Hermelle (by Number One d'Iso) in a time of 59.28 seconds. In fourth place followed Maikel van der Vleuten with Elwikke (by Eldorado van de Zeshoek), Harrie Smolders also fell into the prizes. With his new trump card, Springfield 21 (by Stakkato Gold), he came seventh.
