The international show jumping elite is preparing for a spectacular edition of The Dutch Masters at the Brabanthallen. The prestigious event once again guarantees world-class sport and an exceptional atmosphere, featuring an outstanding field of competitors.
As previously announced, the entire top three of the world rankings will compete in ’s-Hertogenbosch. Rolex Testimonees Scott Brash (1), Kent Farrington (2) and Ben Maher (3) will take on the very best in the sport. They will be joined by world number four Gilles Thomas and world number six, reigning European Champion and Rolex Testimonee Richard Vogel.
Kent Farrington is currently the live contender for the Rolex Grand Slam following his spectacular victory in the Rolex Grand Prix at CHI Genève. He secured that win with his top horse Greya, but he has another ace up his sleeve: “I’m planning to bring Toulayna because she performed incredibly well at The Dutch Masters last year.”
Strong International Delegations
Belgium will field a powerful team. In addition to Gilles Thomas, Nicola Philippaerts (15), Gregory Wathelet (14), Saïd Abdel (20) and Pieter Devos (51) will travel to ’s-Hertogenbosch.
France is equally well represented. World Cup winner Julien Épaillard (7) is always a strong contender, as is compatriot Simon Delestre, who won last year’s Rolex Grand Prix at The Dutch Masters with Cayman Jolly Jumper. Kevin Staut (27) completes the French delegation.
Spectators can also look forward to the skills of reigning World Champion Henrik von Eckermann, Swiss stars Steve Guerdat (17) and Martin Fuchs (37), and American rider Lillie Keenan (29).
Strong Dutch Representation
The Dutch riders are strongly represented as well. Dutch national champion Willem Greve is in excellent form and is certainly one to watch, having already claimed three World Cup competitions this season. In addition, Harrie Smolders and Kim Emmen are in great form and will undoubtedly aim for victory in the Rolex Grand Prix.
With such an impressive line-up, The Dutch Masters promises once again to deliver a sporting highlight of the highest international level, where excellence, excitement and elite sport take center stage.
