Annemarieke Nobel wins KNHS Para Dressage Trophy

Winner of the KNHS Para Dressage Trophy Annemarieke Nobel, proudly talks about her Doo Chufro with whom she has just performed a beautiful freestyle. “It is exactly ten years and one week ago that Doo Chufro and I became a combination. Although he can be quite a rascal at times and you have to watch that he doesn’t wriggle out of his halter or escape out of his box, we are a really close team, and he would do anything for me.”

Amazing character
In the arena the two form an incredibly serene and controlled combination, and their test was rewarded with an impressive 76,466%. When we ask Annemarieke about how the test felt, she laughs: “Well, I’m very happy of course, but we could actually have done even better! He always tries his best for me, so I really can’t complain, but he could have been a little softer and more supple in the test. Nevertheless, I’m of course very very happy!” What Annemarieke is especially impressed by is the extremely reliable character of her 17-year-old gelding. That the two also manage to deliver beautiful performances in the arena is a bonus, and the result of a really great partnership.

Coach thanked
Annemarieke was followed on the podium by Loes Cevaal with her Happy Hero II, who scored 74,822% securing the second place. Tessa Baaijens - Van de Vrie and Happy Grace completed the podium with a score of 73,833%. Hanneke Gerritsen, interim national coach who recently handed over the reins to her successor, also received a warm word of thanks from the entire podium.
